This Week’s Nintendo Direct Has Been Announced

It may seem to certain members of the gaming world that the days of every significant corporation squeezing their big announcements into E3 weekend are fading away.

The three main platform owners each have their method of informing their fans about forthcoming games, new features, and updates for their beloved titles, including Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcases, PlayStation State of Play events, and Nintendo Direct presentations. Now, a new Nintendo Direct is on the way, but this time, it will concentrate on a single title instead of having a broad emphasis.

According to previous reports, Nintendo was expected to hold a Direct around the end of June. Nintendo was noticeably missing around the time of Summer Games Fest, despite hosting an Indie Showcase in May.

However, it seems that a Nintendo Direct will take place before the end of June, but instead of showcasing a variety of titles, the current presentation, slated for June 22, will focus only on the imminent release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

The highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a game set after the events of its predecessor, and it tells the narrative of two countries at war.

Each of these countries, Keves and Agnus, will have its protagonist for the player to govern. The release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been moved from Fall 2022 to July.

With little over a month before the game’s release, Nintendo seems to be giving gamers one more in-depth look at Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

The news of a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct has elicited varied reactions from fans, with one expressing their hope that there would be no unintended narrative spoilers included in the presentation.

Others argue that, given the material shown thus far for the game, further information on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 would be unnecessary. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has already given players plenty of glimpses of its gameplay, from its geography to its fighting.

However, most fans on social media are still looking forward to the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Nintendo Direct, with many hoping for some last big news that will make the wait until July even more difficult.

While a universal Nintendo Direct is feasible in the future, many fans prefer the single-game formats, with significant games like Baynotta 3 receiving their presentation.

Given that Bayonetta 3 is still set to debut this year, it’s probable that players will get another look at the series’ next hack-and-slash game.
