Honkai Star Rail Release Date, Official Announcement a new mobile JRPG

Last week there were rumors in the gaming community that miHoYo, the developers of Genshin Impact, are working on a new game called Honkai Star Rail.

The game is believed to have been accidentally uploaded to the App Store, and of course, players noticed. However, after a few hours, it was removed.

But nothing is a rumor anymore because miHoYo has officially announced Honkai Star Rail along with a teaser image, while social media channels dedicated to the game are also live.

The developers have also announced that they will open registration for an upcoming beta test soon.

Honkai Star Rail Release Date

miHoYo just revealed Honkai Star Rail at the Starfire Sonorant concert during Honkai Impact’s third anniversary celebration.

It will be a new mobile JRPG. As of this writing, the company hasn’t shared many details about the game.

All they have shared is a teaser image that you can check out below.

Honkai Star Rail beta registration begins October 8

Along with the teaser image, miHoYo has announced that the game’s first closed beta registration event will begin on October 8. If miHoYo follows the same pattern as they did with Genshin Impact’s pre-launch beta testing.

However, the Honkai Star Rail beta should launch soon, and players shouldn’t be subject to an NDA either, which means we can expect to see a lot game screenshots and gameplay videos floating around.

What the leaks say

During the short time that the game was accidentally available on the App Store, some gamers were able to get their hands on the footage of the game and even the text, illustrations, characters and gameplay related to the story extracted from data.

Judging from the leaks, Honkai Star Rail is a turn-based JRPG that will provide players with an open-world experience. It will feature many well-known characters that have previously appeared in miHoYo games.

As in Honkai Impact, in Honkai Star Rail players will form a team of three and face off against enemies. In the leaked screenshots, there appear to be item symbols above the heads of the enemies.

It means that the game could feature an elemental system where the types of counterattack will be one of the main characteristics.
