Partnering with the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT), a worldwide CS: GO tournament circuit organised by esports data platform GRID Esports, is the IT service management business Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The agreement became AWS’s official cloud infrastructure supplier for the circuit from 2022 to 2024.

The competition will employ data insights from AWS to augment the broadcast and widgets that provide more context for the data.

Additionally, the information gathered will allow CCT to develop a hub just for the event that will include various information.

The competition and its founding partners, such as Relog Media, Fantasy Expo, and FACEIT, started looking for local CS: GO leagues that would provide teams to compete in the main circuit in July.

The CCT Global Finals are still slated to take place at the beginning of 2024, with open qualifying rounds for regional competitions beginning in July 2022.

With the agreement, AWS enters the esports sector for the second time after working with event organiser EGL to enhance its mobile tournament services.

With Bitskins, a marketplace for CS: GO skins, and StreamCards, a developer of interactive broadcasting solutions, CCT gains a third partner.

“We are excited to continue collaborating with AWS as we approach the commencement of the Champion of Champions Tour,” said Tom Warburton, COO of GRID Esports, about the agreement.

“Their platform is a crucial resource in realising GRID’s objective of presenting a top-tier Esports competition to spectators worldwide. It is exciting for CCT to partner with AWS as a technology supplier since it will enable us to provide the international esports community with a solid, distinctive experience.”
